This is a stretching and self massage class. Alex is super happy to share her knowledge about stretching with you and help decrease the misalignments in body. It’s all about going back to the natural state of the body and feeling as open and free as a baby. Because Alex has worked with babies for years, evidence of the many different bodies and flexibity levels is clear. This knowledge will help prevent any injuries due to over-stretching. Some people are just naturally more flexible than others and in different areas. You’ll learn ways to see the signs from the body that will help you to not overdo it or underdo it. The older you get, if you don’t stretch and move dynamically, you will likely lose it. Join Alex and learn more about you.

This flowing Yogaflex class will focus on core strength and how to get connected with it. The core work will be incorporated into yoga postures. This class ends with deep stretching and relaxation. You will leave feeling supple and strong.

This class is really more of a physio and self-restoring style of yoga, not the kind the that does fancy tricks and makes you over-bendy. We just want to have quiet bodies that don’t bother us every day and quiet minds that don’t trick us. Although it’s not a super hard class, we do core work, gently flow through yoga postures with breath, and finish with some wonderful stretches and self massage goodness. It’s real. It’s nice. It’s for every body. It’s for every level. It’s yoga for humans.

Free yourself from painful areas caused by habitual and repetitive movements, your job, accidents, and a busy or stressful life! In this class you'll find strengthening exercises and self massage techniques that help you have a quiet body. If you’re dealing with pain, don’t be discouraged. There is something you can do, and this is it. Get to know the roots or causes and take home the exercises that help you feel release and prevent it from recurring. Even if it’s a bad knee, sore feet, a headache/migraine now and then, a sore lower back that can flare up, a tweaky shoulder, upper back and neck pain, or more long term issues such as scoliosis or arthritis; this practice will allow the whole body to wake up to releasing tension and blocked areas. Exploring all the myofascial connective tissue lines, and freeing up any part that could be the root cause and/or strengthen the weak points that make you vulnerable. Look deeply into what's really going on through an exploration of strengthening movements, stretches, and self massage. Reintegrate the whole body in order to reduce daily pain, become resilient, and find stability that will last. Even just a little of this practice goes a long way. Beginners welcome.

Hatha Yoga is a movement practice. Focusing on balancing out the whole body through yogic postures, breath exercises, and ancient yogic principals. In this class we explore how the hundreds of yoga postures make us feel free. We will also explore the pranayama exercises each week and other yoga practices that induce a state of calm, contentment, and patience within.
